Institute of Theater Arts of Kyiv International University provides training of specialists in: performing arts.

Dramatic theatre and cinema actor

The learning process in the Institute is being carried out by academics and practical staff whose names are well known both in Ukraine and abroad. Among them:

  • N. O. Ilyina- professor, Honored Artist of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, Acting General Director of the agency NSKU "Screen Actors Guild", the president of the International Festival of Film Actors "Stozhary", teacher of stage speech;
  • O.E. Chebanova - professor, PhD, Head of the Department of Dramatic Arts;
  • L.N. Somov - professor, National Artist of Ukraine, winner of three prestigious theater prize Kyiv Pectoral, a leading actor of the Kiev Academic Drama Theater on the left bank, a member of the National Union of Theatrical Workers of Ukraine, member of the National Union of Cinematographers of Ukraine, artistic director of the course;
  • A.A. Roenko - associate professor, Honored Artist of Ukraine, actor of the National Academic Theatre of Russian Drama honored by Lesia Ukrainka, artistic director of "Oleg Roenko theatre workshop ";

KyIU Institute of Theater Arts actively uses such forms of training as:

  • Practice in leading magazines and newspapers;
  • Master-classes of leading actors and directors;
  • Student scientific conferences and creative games (Merry and Witty Contest), beauty contests and festivals of talent;
  • concerts and performances;
  • charity screenings;
  • KIU own International Festival of Students’ and Pre – University Theatres "Stars that will rise tomorrow”.

For professional training KyIU educational theater equipped with modern light and sound equipment, as well as Small concert hall, dance hall, acting workshops, art history classrooms are available.

The educational process is conducted in bright rooms, built according to European standards, equipped with the latest technology, video projectors, plasma TV, stereo, piano, synthesizers.

Students of actors’ workshops since their first year of study participate in popular television programs as actors and presenters, in cultural events and festivals, performances in theaters, in the filming of TV series and commercials.

After the full course of study, specialists in performing arts may hold the following positions:
