The post-graduate course of KIU awards PhD degrees in different fields:

  • 015 – Professional education (of majors).
  • 081 – Law.

Post-graduate entrance and organization of the educational process are is accomplished according to the law of Ukraine “About Higher Education”, according to the law of Ministry of Education and science of Ukraine “About licensing of educational activity on the third educational and scientific level” ¹389 of 08.04.2016.

Entrance exams in 2016 – 2017: major subject, Ukrainian language, foreign language.

Documents admission:
  • from 13.02 to 10.03. 2017;
  • from 14.08 to 08.09. 2017.
Entrance exams:
  • from 13.03 to 24.03. 2017;
  • from 11.09 to 22.09. 2017.
Beginning of the course:
  • 03.04. 2017;
  • 02.10. 2017.
The teaching process carried out by the Typical plan involves all necessary stages and results of the post-graduates work:
  • candidate’s exams passing;
  • theoretical research;
  • experimental research;
  • writing dissertation chapters;
  • publication of articles in profile editions;
  • reports at conferences;
  • implementation of results into practical life.

The standard period of doctor of philosophy programme within post-graduate (post-graduate military) studies is four years.

According to the decision of Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, the following majors still function in KIU (for those who finish studies to 2019):
  • 10.02.04Germanic languages;
  • 07.00.02World history;
  • 11.00.02Economic and social geography;
  • 12.00.07Administrative law and process, financial law, information law;
  • 27.00.04Theory and History of Journalism.
Such exams as foreign languages, philosophy and major subjects are to be passed twice a year (for those who enter to 2016):
  • from 03.10 to 14.10. 2016;
  • from 15.05 to 26.05. 2017.
